The Coral
4 Music Stage, Saturday, 6.55pm
With such a quirky sound I was expecting a live performance from The Coral to be colourful and highly visual.
Although the set by the seven-piece band from Liverpool was enjoyable - they played some of their big hits including Dreaming of You and Simon Diamond - The Coral weren't that much fun to watch.
You could go so far as to say lead singer James Skelly looked a little bored.
The light drizzle falling from the grey sky probably didn't help, but the large crowd that turned up to see them didn't care.
The waterproofs came out and the singing and dancing in the crowd continued.
The Coral's blend of psychedelic sounds, folk and country with a couple of other flavours thrown in, is refreshing and the carefree ambience it creates is one that's attracted many fans.
It's perfect for a festival atmosphere.
But you don't necessarily have to watch them to enjoy it.
