Paolo Nutini

This 20-year-old Scottish-Italian singer/songwriter doesn't disappoint.
His 40-minute set on the main V Stage at the V Festival at Hylands Park was jam-packed with his most popular songs, including New Shoes, Last Request and Jenny Don't Be Hasty, dotted in between with new catchy tracks.
But what set Paolo Nutini apart from other artists on Saturday was that he seemed to really enjoy performing to us, his audience.
Nutini's voice is passionate and yearning so he had no trouble capturing the audience's attention.
With his eyes closed and smiling knowingly as he sang, the audience couldn't help but sing along too - especially when Nutini performed a real old classic, a cover version of I Want to be Like You from Disney's Jungle Book. This injection of fun only endeared him to the crowd further.
And he enjoyed the admiration when he performed a brilliant cover of Moby's track, Natural Blues, with an added reggae twang.
It worked and the crowd loved it.
When the artist so obviously loves what he is doing, how could the audience not?
