AN independent body is still investigating a crash which left the driver in a critical condition.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) launched investigation following the crash at the junction of Newcomen Way and Severalls Lane in Colchester last month.
It is believed the car the man was driving, a black Volkswagen Golf, could have been stolen.
The driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital after the car police were chasing crashed.
IOPC has put up notice boards and has handed out leaflets to residents and businesses, appealing for information.
They have also collected CCTV of the incident.
