CHOCOHOLICS are getting an eyeful at a shop in Colchester, which is showcasing a giant Easter egg... worth £125.
Minerva Chocolates in Eld Lane has set up one of the most tempting window displays in the town - which has a 40cm chocolate egg.
The egg was made by the chocolate maker’s daughter, Kelly Peeters - in Baasrode, Belgium.
Ellie Bell, manager, said: “It’s a chocolate shell with hand piped decorations and marzipan ponies, which makes it look like a carousel.
“It’s on a wooden base which is decorated with hand crafted chocolate flowers. It weighs more than 5kg.”
Ellie added their window display is something unique.
She said: “We wanted to flaunt the fact we aren’t huge on packaging. Not only are we reducing the amount of cardboard, we’re giving our customers more chocolate.”
