TONIGHT'S Thurlow Nunn League contest between FC Clacton and Stanway Rovers has been postponed, due to the waterlogged state of the Rush Green Bowl pitch.

The sides had been due to meet in an eagerly-awaited premier division derby.

However, wet weather over the weekend and throughout yesterday means the game has been called off and a new date will have to be scheduled.

Meanwhile, in division one, Halstead Town's match at home to Framlingham Town has also been postponed and the sides will now try again on March 27.
