Greenstead has changed through the decades not least with the arrival of the satellite roundabout more than 25 years ago which was quickly nicknamed the Magic Roundabout.

The large ring junction has five mini roundabouts with two lanes in each direction joining its neighbour which caused a certain amount of controversy and confusion when it was first introduced in 1992, and also due to sections of the cemetery being lost to make way for it.
