A large pothole caused six vehicles to suffer blowouts on a busy road.
One lane of the A12 was shut last night as emergency repair work was completed on the pothole.
The pothole was between Junction 19 and 20 of the A12, with six reports of vehicles being damaged yesterday.
Police and Highways England were forced to close one lane of the road between 12.30am and 1.30am this morning as they conducted emergency repairs after numerous complaints from the public.
