A TEENAGER has admitted his part in a stabbing which left the victim with a badly damaged lung.
Ben Goodspeed, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after an incident in Osborne Street, Colchester, on January 20.
Goodspeed, of Monkwick Avenue, Colchester, admitted the charge at Ipswich Crown Court today.
The 17-year-old boy indicated a not guilty plea to one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He will stand trial at Ipswich Crown Court in July.
Colchester Magistrates' Court previously heard the victim ran 15ft following the attack before collapsing.
His lung was badly damaged and the victim sustained a second wound to his arm.
