A MAN trapped inside his car after a crash at Essex University was freed in less than 45 minutes.
Two fire crews attended the collision on Friday night in Boundary Road, which runs just outside the Colchester campus in Wivenhoe.
He was freed just before 9.30pm and left in the care of the ambulance service.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "An ambulance crew and response car from Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were dispatched to this collision.
"They treated a man with head, neck and arm pain who was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further care.
"His condition is not believed to be life-threatening."
