PLANS to lure millions of pounds in business investment to Colchester have won praise from a Government boss.
Local Government Secretary Sajid Javid spoke at the launch of the Colchester Ambassadors initiative yesterday.

Mr Javid, who had the final say over the controversial Tollgate Village plans, told the delegation: "Colchester is leading the way in business.
"The jobs that are being created and the speed at which they are being created and the opportunities they are opening up... I have seen that and my colleagues in Government have seen that."
He added: "There are a lot of growth opportunities around the country and, in Colchester, you are on the front foot - especially with your work on the garden villages.
"This is something I will be taking a close interest in."
