A seafront hotel on the market for £1.2 million has been sold.
The Geisha Hotel, in Marine Parade East, Clacton, has been bought by an unnamed investor from the town.
The sale of the 15-bedroom hotel is proof the seaside tourist trade is thriving, according to business agents Christie and Co.
It is the latest in a string of hotels in the town to change hands, including the Parade, Lyndale Lodge and Blooms Guest House.
Tim Gooding, director of Christie, said: "The Geisha Hotel has been operating as a successful hotel and function business for years, and has recently seen an extensive investment programme.
"It has become one of the most popular and profitable businesses in Clacton."
