But with a growing daughter, finding that work/life balance was proving hard as she headed out for gigs in pubs and venues to help people celebrate special occasions in the evenings and weekends.

Her ideas are big and ambitious and, when you meet Sarah-Louise, you have no doubt she will achieve them.

She has recently launched a singing and movement class for parents and youngsters aged up to four, Mini Vibes, from a purpose built studio where she also runs singing lessons and parties for all ages.

She explains she has always loved writing songs and hearing other people sing them.

"I think I always liked singing and writing songs and it has always been my dream for someone else to sing them.

"My entire adult life I have been working consistently really, teaching children to sing and also singing at events for the public, and I love it.

"But my daughter was getting older and I felt I was out a lot singing in pubs and venues and I wanted to be able to be at home more.

"I didn't want to sing in pubs any more and I wanted to focus on getting my songs out there," says Sarah-Louise, 37.

The Mini Vibes classes are divided into age groups, with the smallest starting at nine months up to a year.

"I think to get the most out of it the children need to be able to sit up without support of their mum or dad and that usually happens at about nine months.

"I try not to be too structured in the classes although they do follow a routine of singing and getting the instruments out and also dancing as well."

Uniquely, Sarah-Louise has used her songwriting skills to create her own songs for the children to sing and each block of four weeks she will be altering the theme of the sessions which last 45 minutes.

"At the moment it is nature so we are singing a song about Sophie the Spider.

"A friend of mine made me some fantastic knitted spiders and we are starting to use them in the classes, the children love it.

"They will sometimes catch up a bit later if we are singing a song, they might remember the actions from the a couple of songs ago and start do it and I always encourage them to do that.

"I do not want it to be rigid, it must be fun for them to get the most out of it," she says.

Word is already getting out about the fun interactive classes and she is creating a CD of songs she hopes she can provide for parents who want a change when in the car or at home.

Sarah-Louise, mum to Francesca, says she feels a real affinity with children and the new classes have given her and outlet for that - she even uses them at her evening gigs.

"Anywhere I go I end up having a laugh with the kids, I just really get on with them.

"So now if I go anywhere I will always do a little sessions with my Mini Vibes songs so I can let them have some fun before I sing for the adults," she says.

With an album also due for release and the Mini Vibes sessions taking off you would think she already had her hands full, as well as being a mum, but Sarah-Louise also wants to mentor youngsters the world over.

She and her life coach friend Michael Vingerhoets are aiming to launch a subscription channel online which would allow children and their parents to access support and activities to help them achieve what they want in the world.

"It would be interactive as well as having a chat box and different themes but obviously singing would be a big part of it from my side of things," she adds.

Sarah-Louise is very passionate about the importance of music for young people - starting before a child is even born.

"Parents often play music to their babies when they are in the womb, it has a bit impact on them and carrying on with that once they are born is really important.

"I absolutely love doing it and I have so many ideas for the future," she adds.
