A SAILING club helped raise money for the West Mersea RNLI via its launching fees.
Stone Sailing Club, near St Lawrence, made the donation on Saturday.
A spokesman for West Mersea RNLI said: "Thank you very much to all the cruisers at the club who donated."
The cheque was presented during an RNLI and Cadet Open Day.
The event helped teach people about the volunteer service.
The total amount donated was £550.
