DIE hard U's fans will always hold a special place in their hearts for Layer Road.
The former Colchester United stadium was built more than 100 years ago in 1907 and could hold 6,320 fans.
It was flattened in 2012 and new homes now stand on the site.
The last match at Layer Road was played in April 2008, when Colchester lost 1-0 to Stoke City.
The stadium was locked up for the last time in July 2008 after 98 years in use.
The ground was originally used by Colchester Town Football Club, but the ground was home to Colchester United for 71 years.
In 2015, a bronze statue of Col U player of the Century, Peter Wright, was unveiled by his widow, Lindsey, and then MP for Colchester Sir Bob Russell.
