A WORLD champion pole dancer wowed fitness fanatics with a special masterclass.
Los Angeles-based star Josiah Grant, nicknamed Badazz, instructed students at the JC Poleschool based at Topnotch Health Club in Colchester.
Instructor Jennie Campbell said the event was a massive success.
She said: "Everyone loved it - it is the equivalent of footballer getting to meet David Beckham.
"For a lot of the students it was their first masterclass and they learned a lot.
"We are trying to teach people poledancing is not about sleazing around in a nightclub, I've got a background in personal training so fitness is my focus and we have tried to rebrand it PoleFit to try and move away from the stereotype.
"There is nothing in the body which it does not exercise."
Jennie runs classes at Top Notch on Tuesday at 5.15pm, 7.45pm and 8.45pm, on Wednesday at 8pm, Thursdays at 7.45pm and 8.45pm and on Saturday at 11.45am.
