A PHOTOGRAPHER took to the skies to capture these images of Severalls Hospital being knocked down for housing.
Gary Rowe, of Crisp Aerial photography, hopped in a plane and flew over the site, off Northern Approach in Colchester, in September to show the workers' progress.
Demolition work began in August.
A total of 730 homes will be built there by Bloor Homes, Bellway and Taylor Wimpey after planning permission was granted in March.
The main building, chapel, boiler house, nurses mess, assistant medical officer's house and attendant officer's mess are some of the 16 buildings being reduced to rubble.
