HAIR-RAISING designs were pitted against each other in a competition.
EASI Hardressing Academy, in Colchester, held a creative hair competition at Colchester Town Hall, with a theme of the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The competition was also opened up to non students, which gave those still in school to have a go.
Gemma Hall, operations director at EASI, said “The standard of work this year was amazing.
“Some of the entrants haven’t had any hairdressing training but you would never have known. All the participants worked so hard on the day but also in the run up to the competition in their planning and preparation and should be really proud of themselves.”
“We’re thrilled to have had so many entrants and spectators along to support us.”. Students dressed their models’ hair with Star Wars and Maleficent film themes. Handmade costumes and hats fashioned entirely of hair also featured.
The competition raise money for The Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness.
