A SCHOOL has praised its teachers who were highly commended at the National Teaching Awards.
Clacton County High School drama teaching assistant Emma Markham has been acknowledged, along with the school’s Stem team.
They were given ‘highly commended’ certificates, marking them among the top teachers in their fields.
Executive principal Jeff Brindle said: “We are very proud to see their dedication and enthusiasm acknowledged. They are very deserving of the accolades.”
Mrs Markham won Teaching Assistant of the Year at the North East Essex Education Awards in November, while the science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem) teachers won Team of the Year at the Essex Teaching Awards.
