A fire broke out behind a wood burner at a house.
Firefighters were called to Seawick Road in St Osyth at 6.37pm and the fire was extinguished by 7.10pm.
An area measuring one metre by one metre was damaged by the fire.
A ventilation fan was used to clear the property of smoke.
