A SEA of Santas flooded Colchester Castle Park for a fundraising run.

More than 600 people dressed as Father Christmas for the Santa Fun Run on Sunday, walking or jogging the 3k or 5k routes.

After a group warm up, the red suits and white bears took off around the park.

The event was organised by the Colchester Hospitals Charity as part of a campaign to raise £4.5million over the next three years to build specilist integrated cancer centre.

Once built, it is hoped the centre will combine radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and medical treatments, alongside a holistic range of therapies, information, support and advice for cancer patients and their loved ones.
