A THIRD man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a father who was stabbed on Tuesday night.

Ladimeji Benson, 27, who was from Chelmsford and had been living in Colchester, is thought to have been stabbed during an argument in Baddow Road, Chelmsford.

He was well-known in Southend and also ran Numero 88 trainer shop in Princes Street, Westcliff.

Mr Benson died from his injuries after being rushed to Broomfield Hospital.

A 20-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested this morning on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody awaiting questioning.

Two other men, from Chelmsford and aged 22 and 25, who were arrested in connection with the ongoing police investigation have been bailed until January 6, pending further investigation.
