ADORABLE George Jones wants to be a firefighter when he grows up...as long he can can scoff a sneaky sandwich on his way to an emergency.

The cheeky five-year-old's admission means he makes a starring role in a new online video, advertising a new kids' toy.

George, sister Megan, seven, and pal Abbie Kinnaird, also seven, all from Brightlingsea, were selected by major retailer VTech after revealing a firefighter, vet, and doctor were their dream jobs.

They were among just 11 children across the country handpicked to support the launch of VTech's new girls' collectible dolls, Flipsies.

The video is now on VTech's Facebook page where it has had more than 12,000 views.

The children earned spots in the short video after their parents won a Facebook competition.

George and Megan's mum Jennifer said: "George wanted to be a firefighter because his dad is, then he wanted to drive an ambulance and marry a police woman!

"Megan wanted to be a vet or a princess."

A few weeks later she heard they'd been successful along with Abbie who also lives in Brightlingsea.

The group travelled for London for a day's filming in the summer holidays.

During the video, children are also asked what the best part of their future job would be, what they would wear, how much they would earn and what their parents' jobs are.

George, who like his sister attends Brightlingsea Infant School, tells the camera how his dad Lee is a fireman.

He adds: "When I got dressed in my fire stuff I would eat a sandwich on the way to the emergency."

Jennifer said: "The things George came out with were lovely - how he was waiting to make a sandwich.

"We are very proud of both of them, it made us laugh and it was nice to do something different."

Flipsies are a range of collectible dolls which change from their everyday life into their dream world.
