SHADOW education secretary Tristram Hunt visited Colchester to show his support for Labour leadership candidate Liz Kendall.
Mr Hunt spoke to about 30 members of the party at the Forest Road Meeting Rooms, in Greenstead, on Monday afternoon.
He explained why he is supporting Liz in the high-profile leadership race, and answered questions about immigration, the NHS, housing and the economy.
Jordan Newell, Colchester’s former Labour parliamentary candidate, chaired the meeting.
He said: “This was the first of our Labour Leadership debates involving each of the campaigns, and it was great to see so many people joining in."
