DISABLED students had a taste of life as a Paralympian when they competed in a swimming competition at the Olympic Park.

Youngsters from Market Field and Doucecroft schools took part in the 2015 Panathlon south east swim finals at the London Aquatics Centre on Monday.

The team from Doucecroft came third, followed by the Market Field team who came in fourth.

They were presented with trophies and medals by Paralympic swimming champion Liz Johnson.

The event was part of Panathlon Challenge, a mini-Paralympics for children.
