A human skeleton has been discovered during a dig in Colchester by archaeologists.
They have been working on the Crouch Street site for a number of months while building work is carried out by Bellway Homes.
The bones are believed to be medieval, although Roman burials were also carried out at the site.
Philip Crummy, of the Colchester Archaeological Trust, said the bones would be examined by a specialist and then labelled and stored at the Castle Museum.
