A GARDENING project aims to give young people confidence and life skills in a bid to help them take control of their lives.
The Go Green Project, which is based at Colchester’s Youth Enquiry Service, has a secret garden at the back of the former Tymperleys Clock Museum, where people can learn to grow food.
It has a team of five users, aged between 16 and 15, but is on the lookout for more people to get involved.
The project began in April after Anglian Community Trust provided a year’s funding.
When this finishes, the team hopes the volunteers will have learned enough to run it by themselves and to teach others.
The project is on the lookout for volunteers and also welcomes plant donations.
