Witham MP Priti Patel joins Cabinet
WITHAM MP Priti Patel is to join the Cabinet, Prime Minister David Cameron has announced.
Ms Patel, a junior treasury minister before last week's election, has been named Minister of State for employment at the Department for Work and Pensions.
Having been elected as the Tory's first female Asian MP in 2010, she comfortably held her seat last Witham, gathering 27,123 of the 47,339 votes cast.
