A GOLDEN Eagle that escaped from its Stratford St Mary home this morning has been found.
Suffolk Police launched an appeal for witnesses after the six-year-old creature escaped and flew away.
Due to wind conditions it was thought the bird was likely to head north.
However, police confirmed this lunchtime the bird had been found safe and well about half-a-mile away from his home.
He’s now safely back on his perch.
Police thanked the public for their help.
