A LETTINGS manager hopes to find love on TV.

Sophie Whitaker, a former Miss England finalist, is appearing on the hit Saturday night show Take Me Out.

The show, presented by Paddy McGuinness, sees four men trying to win a date with one of 30 single women.

If the women don’t like them, they switch off their lights.

Sophie, 20, was Miss East Anglia 2013 and won the title Miss Charity for raising the most money for charity Beauty With A Purpose.

The Braintree woman joined Take Me Out last week and will be on the ITV show again this Saturday.

She said: “I decided to take part in the show because I have always been a fan.

“It looks like the girls have a great laugh.

“I thought it would be a new fun experience and I was, of course, hoping to get a date and get to the magical isle of Fernandos.

“The first show was great, it was so surreal watching myself on TV.

“I had a party with all my friends and family round to celebrate.

“As no-one knew I was going to be on Take Me Out, it came as a big surprise to them.”

Sophie said she likes tall, muscley and well-groomed men who must be good fun, hardworking and well mannered.

“One of the best places I have been taken on a date is probably Barcelona for a weekend away or to a Drake concert,” she said.

“The worst date I have ever had was a third date with a guy and we were going to the cinema.

“He picked me up and he told me he didn’t like my outfit, so I went home and changed. I was mortified.”
