TWENTY staff face losing their jobs after a store in Colchester town centre announced it will close in November.
Townrow opened the Sale Shop in the former Vergo department store three years ago, re-hiring many of its former staff.
The 20,000 sq ft venue sells everything from home furnishings to women’s fashion.
Edward Townrow, managing director of the Essex firm, has revealed its short team lease has not been renewed and its last trading day will be Saturday, November 15.
It is looking for another site.
The East of England Co-operative Society, which owns the Long Wyre Street building, is looking at dividing it into several units and finding new tenants.
