A GROUP of football mad friends has raised thousands of pounds for a children’s hospice by visiting all 92 football league clubs in England in 92 hours.
Friends Nick Smith, Mike and Matt Cawston, Tony Baker and Andrew Scullion were inspired to put their best foot forward after a visit to Little Havens Hospice.
The hospice, which is based near Southend, offers care to children from across Essex who have life-limiting conditions.
The friends came up with the 92 in 92 challenge which involved visiting all 92 football league clubs in England in 92 hours.
The boys set off from Southend United’s Roots Hall stadium completing their challenge 87 hours 49 minutes and 14 seconds later at Colchester United.
