YOUNG readers are wanted to vote in the Essex Book Award.
The competition, run by the county council’s Essex School Library Service, encourages students to read fiction.
Youngsters can write reviews of the titles shortlisted in the eighth annual competition and cast their votes until February.
Books this year are:
- Silver by Chris Wooding
- Last Chance Angel by Alex Gutteridge
- Tall Tales from Pitch End by Nigel McDowell
- Waiting for Gonzo by Dave Cousins
- After Tomorrow by Gillian Cross
- Whale Boy by Nicola Davies
