UNSUSPECTING diners were stunned by a spectacular frightnight event.
Restaurant 43, in Great Bentley, got into the Halloween spirit with chef Simon Humm creating a menu of monstrous meals, including lamb brains, octopus tentacles and edible waxed cotton buds.
The restaurant owners had a special surprise for the guests when 45 dancers from a Clacton group performed a special set-piece.
They charged across the village green like zombies, banging on the restaurant windows before a performance of the Michael Jackson Thriller dance.
Restaurant owner Mark Moorcroft said: “It was a fantastic spooky night, the perfect way to celebrate Halloween. The dancers were spectacular. People didn’t know what was going on to start with, but everyone loved it.
“Simon went all out with the menu and it blew people away.
“It is great for us to be able to put on special events for the village and it went fantastically.
I’m sure we’re the talk of the village after that.”
