POTHOLES reported by councillors should be given priority for repairs under a proposed scheme.
Green councillors at County Hall say better communication is needed to reduce the cost of repairing road defects and compensation paid out to motorists with damaged vehicles.
The group has put forward a Repair in Time initiative under which potholes reported by county councillors or parish councils become the most urgent, as they claim these people are best placed to determine how serious a defect is.
