A CAR caught alight after it crashed in a village in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Firefighters from Manningtree and Dovercourt were called to Bradfield Road in Wix at 2.22am on Sunday May 12.
Police were then called to the scene and found the blue Vauxhall Astra on fire.
A spokesman said: "Officers with the fire service established the vehicle was empty.
"Enquries are being made with the registered owner to establish the circumstances."
