WEST MERSEA lifeboat was launched to help three people as they attempted to row to a Strood Channel mooring.
Coastguards were concerned that the dinghy, which had two adults and a child on board, would not be able to make it to the shore.
They launched the lifeboat, which towed the dinghy to the shore at about 3.30pm on Saturday.
The rowers were met by coastguards who gave them safety advice.
