DELEGATES from cities across Europe landed in Colchester for a European Union conference.
The Cure Project, which stands for Creative Urban Renewal in Europe, sees EU funding given to seven cities for projects aimed at regenerating areas through creative industries.
On Thursday, 80 delegates from Germany, Ireland, Holland, Poland and elsewhere took part in the 2nd international Cure conference, where experts talked about the best ways to bring empty buildings and areas back into use through the arts and related industries.
Then on Friday, guests spent time in St Botolph’s Quarter, the regeneration area which forms the focus of the project in Colchester.
