RESIDENTS are wanted as lab rats for experiments at Essex University.

People are invited to take part in social science tests in the new state-of-the-art ESSEXLab.

The lab is the result of a £0.5 million investment by the university, and will be located within the Institute for Social and Economic Research.

To help select appropriate people for tests residents can enter their details onto a database from which participant will be invited.

Participants will be paid a minimum £2.50 show-up fee per session but could earn more depending on their choices in the experiments. Sessions will normally last around an hour though they will sometimes be 30 or 90 minutes.

To sign up for the database visit the lab’s website.
