A ROBBERY victim was punched to the floor before his attackers rifled through his pockets and stole his wallet and mobile phone.
The 35-year-old was assaulted as he walked along a path in Colchester in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police say two men approached him on a footpath between Middle Mill and North Station Road before demanding he hand over his valuables.
A spokesman said: “When he refused one of the suspects punched him in the face causing him to fall to the floor.
“Both men then went through the victim’s pockets stealing a Samsung mobile phone, Blackberry, brown Hugo Boss leather wallet, car keys and bank cards.”
Witnesses are urged to contact Colchester police.
