THE next production by the Manifest Theatre Group will be Dead Guilty.

Caroline Roberts, spokes-person for the Manifest Group, says: “Director Glyn Hill is over the moon that he’s finally getting the chance to put the play on.

“Having read Dead Guilty several years ago, he couldn’t put it down and knew it was something he wanted to produce.

“Now, having acted for many years on stage at the Manifest Theatre, Glyn is finally making his directorial debut here.”

Glyn is no stranger to directing itself though, having worked with the Orchard Players and East Bergholt Dramatic Society.

Richard Harris’s Dead Guilty is a thriller which begins with John Haddrell dying of a heart attack at the wheel of his car.

The woman at his side is not his wife, but his lover.

While recovering from the injuries she sustained in the crash, his lover is visited by his wife, as well as her carer, Gary, and social worker, Anne.

Emma Race-Whitton plays Julia, while Amanda Rowe takes on the role of Margaret, Adam Duarte-Dias is Gary and Christine Phasey plays Anne.

Dead Guilty runs at the Manifest Theatre, in Manningtree, from May 15 to 19 at 7.30pm each night.

Tickets are £6, plus £2 membership, available from the box office on 01206 391309.
