IF you fancy getting into the Christmas spirit by dancing in the aisles and raising money for a great cause at the same time, Saturday, November 29, will be a great opportunity when the Let There Be Christmas concert takes place.

Spearheaded by former Rubettes front man Alan Williams, the concert is being put on in aid of Little Havens Hospice.

It will consist of “Santa and His Christmas Crackers”, who are a band of eight professional musicians and singers, with Alan being Santa and the Christmas Crackers being three female dancers.

The show comes as part of a warm up to their UK tour, where the cast, all dressed in Christmas costume, play popular Christmas classics.

Alan said: “We are raising money for Little Havens because I live in Hadleigh, and thought it would be a nice thing to do. It’s like a dress rehearsal before we start the UK tour.

“We are also going to be raffling an electric guitar, donated by PMT music. It will be a sit-down theatre-style concert. There is also a bar, and dancing will not be frowned upon.”

The concert takes place at Runnymede Hall, Kiln Road, Benfleet from 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 from santa@santa andhischristmascrackers. com or on the door, although buying in advance is advised.
