Notice of Confirmation of an Order Highways Act 1980 Essex County Council Public Path Diversion Order 2018 Footpath 11 Elmstead in the District Of Tendring
On 13 June 2018, Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a part length of Footpath 11 Elmstead commencing from a point at the field edge south of the car park in Clacton Road CO7 7DA at the southern end of the new development boundary (grid reference 60646,22428), proceeding in a general north north-westerly direction through the site of the new properties for a distance of approximately 67 metres to a point adjacent to the south western corner of the car park approximately 30 metres south of Clacton Road. To an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point at the field edge, proceeding north north-westerly then north between the hedge and fence boundaries on the western side of the new properties to the aforementioned point approximately 30 metres south of Clacton Road connecting back to the unaffected part of Footpath 11 Elmstead as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Tendring District Council Offices, Thorpe Road, Weeley CO16 9AJ and at the Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge. The order comes into force on 12 July 2018, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 21 June 2018 make an application to the High Court.

(Madeira Road, Holland On Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Madeira Road, Holland on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Hazlemere Road to its junction with Kings Avenue, a distance of approximately 340m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2018 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2250924 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Hazlemere Road, Kings Parade, Kings Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 28th June 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Castle Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Roman Road, Colchester & Castle Road, Colchester) (Temporary Suspension of One-Way) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
1. To temporarily close that length of Castle Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 56m south of its junction with Roman Road for a distance of approximately 21m in a southerly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the One way in both Castle Road, Colchester and Roman Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester as detail in 'The Colchester Borough (Castle Road, and Roman Road, Colchester) (One Way) Order 1998' for the duration of the closure.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 25th June 2018 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03154576754/01 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while communication pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Castle Road, Roman Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 14th June 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Oxford Road, Manningtree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Oxford Road, Manningtree in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Norman Road for a distance of approximately 46m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th June 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000702237 - Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while laying a new gas service to customer works are undertaken by Cadent Gas. An alternative route is available via New Road, Norman Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 14th June 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street, Great Bromley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 40m south of its junction with Furze Lane for a distance of approximately 140 metres in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th June 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034790584 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow new electrical supply to customer works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Bromley Road, Clacton Road, Frating Hill, Main Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 14th June 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Holland Road, Little Clacton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Holland Road, Little Clacton in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 225m east of its junction with Whitegates Court for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th June 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034790449 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation of new supplies works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via London Road, Montana Roundabout, Centenary Way, Centenary Way Roundabout, Thorpe Road Roundabout, Thorpe Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 14th June 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Winters Hill, Layer Marney) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Winters Hill, Layer Marney in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Clears Road to its junction with Roundbush Road, a distance of approximately 640m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th July 2018 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2252722 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Smythes Green, Maldon Road, Roundbush Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 28th June 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
