(A137 Colchester Road/Harwich Road, Ardleigh/Lawford) (Restricted Road and 40MPH Speed Limit) Order 2017

Essex County Council (A137 Colchester Road/Harwich Road, Ardleigh/Lawford) (Restricted Road and 40MPH Speed Limit) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 81, 82(2), 83(2), 84(1) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order: To extend the existing 40MPH Speed limit on A137 Harwich Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Coggeshall Road, south west then west for a total distance of approximately 825 metres to the existing 30MPH speed limit located at a point approximately 930 metres east of its junction with Wick Lane (eastern boundary of cemetery). 'The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Restricted Roads) (No.4) Order 2008' is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to A137 Colchester Road, Ardleigh only. This restriction shall continue in force by virtue of this order. 'The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Tendring District) (40MPH Speed Limit) (No.2) Order 2010' is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to 'A137 Colchester Road to John de Bois Hill to Fox Street, Ardleigh & Great Bromley' and 'Harwich Road (A137), Ardleigh & Lawford. These restrictions shall continue in force by virtue of this order. Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 8 December 2017. Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Edward Paxman Gardens and Tarrett Drive, Colchester) (20mph Zone) Order 2017 The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking and Special Parking Area) (Amendment No.24) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Orders under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53, 84(1) (a) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders:

1. To formalise the legal order for the 20mph Zone on the following lengths of Edward Paxman Gardens and Tarrett Drive in the Borough of Colchester:

Road Description
Edward Paxman From its junction with Hythe Hill for its entire Gardens, length. Colchester Tarrett Drive, From its junction with Edward Paxman Gardens Colchester in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 10 metres (extent of maintainable highway).

2. To formalise the legal order to replace the 'No Waiting Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm' restrictions with 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions on the following length of Hythe Hill in the Borough of Colchester:

Hythe Hill, NORTH SIDE: From a point approximately Colchester 15 metres west of its junction with Edward Paxman Gardens, east for a distance of approximately 36 metres.

3. To formalise the legal order to introduce the 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions on the following length of Edward Paxman Gardens in the Borough of Colchester:

Edward Paxman BOTH SIDES: From its junction with Hythe Hill, Gardens, north for a distance of approximately 15 metres. Colchester

This waiting restriction order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking and Special Parking Area) Order 2014 by introducing tile number TM010 245 revision 1.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 8 December 2017.

(Various Roads, Borough of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.16) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester as specified in Schedule 1.

2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008" and "The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking & Special Parking Area) Order 2014" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 14th December 2017, exact dates will be specified on http:// roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Seafields Road, Holland on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Seafields Roads, Holland On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Seafields Gardens to its junction with Howard Road, a distance of approximately 250m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th January 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2235789 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Seafields Gardens, Turpins Avenue, Howard Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Golden Lane, Thorpe-le-Soken) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Golden Lane, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 320m northeast of its junction with Colchester Road for a distance of approximately 37m in a northeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th February 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000654402 - Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas service works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Landermere Road, High Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th November 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sydney Street, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sydney Street, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Waterside to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 521m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th January 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2235879 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway subsidence investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Waterside, Tower Street, High Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 14th December 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in Schedule 1.
