THE A12 TRUNK ROAD (DEDHAM, ESSEX] NORTHBOUND fTEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) has made an Order on the A12 Trunk Road in Essex to enable tree felling works and excavation, inspection and remediation of a high pressure gas pipeline on behalf of National Grid to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to last for approximately 11 weeks starting at 7pm on, or after, Sunday 2 April 2017.
The effect of the Order will be to close, for 24 hours daily, the -
? exit slip road from the northbound carriageway of the A12 leading to Ipswich Road, Dedham, and
? lay-bys adjacent to the northbound carriageway of the A12 situated at points 68 metres south and 172 metres south of the exit slip road described above.
Traffic will be diverted to continue northbound
to exit at J30 Stratford St Mary, then via
Upper Street, The Street/Lower Street,
Stratford St Mary and Gun Hill back to Ipswich
Road, Dedham. Access to properties will be
maintained during the works.
The closures (which will not apply to works
or emergency service vehicles) and diversion
route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs
throughout the works.
The Order will come into force on
27 March 2017 and have a maximum duration
of eighteen months.
