Queen Street, Temporary Road Closure due to Stoptap Replacement Works

(Queen Street, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Queen Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Jaggards Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03160624275 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stoptap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Stoneham Street, Church Street, Vane Lane and vice versa (with access only into Queen Street).
The Order came into effect on 22nd July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
