(Creffield Road, Colchester) (No Entry) Order 2021 (Creffield Road Slip, Colchester) (Mandatory Contraflow Cycle Lane) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Orders under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4), 3(2), 4(1) and Part III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
1. To amend the existing no entry restriction on Creffield Road to permit access for pedal cycles to enter B1022 Maldon Road.
2. To introduce a 2-metre-wide Contraflow Cycle Lane on Creffield Road Slip, in the Borough of Colchester.

The Colchester Borough (Creffield Road/Maldon Road, Colchester) (Prohibition of Entry) Order 1982 is hereby revoked.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 16 April 2021.

Application to the high court Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Various Roads) Hill Farm Development, Carters Hill, Boxted (20mph Zone) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order: To introduce a 20mph zone on the following lengths of roads (Hill Farm Development), (Carters Hill), Boxted in the Borough of Colchester:

Description
Hill Farm Way
From its junction with Carters Hill for its entire remaining length including any side roads or turning heads.
Pippin Drive
From its junction with Hill Farm Way for its entire remaining length.

(Barbrook Lane, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barbrook Lane, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 30m north west of its junction with Grove Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd May 2021 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03058284971 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while disconnection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Barbrook Lane, Grove Road, Church Road, Maypole Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th April 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ipswich Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ipswich Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Ipswich Road Roundabout to its junction with Old Coach Road a distance of approximately 130m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th April 2021 for 2 nights (20:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20153061157 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while high friction surface application works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Ipswich Road, East Street, Harwich Road, Harwich Road Roundabout, St Andrews Avenue, Ipswich Road Roundabout and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 15th April 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(London Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with School Lane to its junction with Nayland Road a distance of approximately 2230m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th May 2021 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2296022A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Nayland Road, The Causeway, School Lane, London Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th April 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Smythes Green, Layer Mamey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Smythes Green, Layer Marney in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Thorrington Road for a distance of approximately 180m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th May 2021 tor 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010594542 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(Station Road, Thorrington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Thorrington in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 230m north east of its junction with Clacton Road for a distance of approximately 300m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th May 2021 tor 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWBPHW7X001 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct clearing works are undertaken by Openreach.

The Order will come into effect on 15th April 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Abberton Road, Fingringhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Abberton Road, Fingringhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Dudley Road for a distance of approximately 90m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd April 2021 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WC4L1N3F - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Abberton Road, School Lane, Mersea Road, Layer Road, Weir Lane, Blackheath, Abbots Road, Old Heath Road, Fingringhoe Road, Rowhedge Road, Chapel Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 1st April 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bounstead Road/Berechurch Hall Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Bounstead Road/Berechurch Hall Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from both junctions with Berechurch Hall Road tor a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th April 2021

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of High Street, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Sydney Street to its junction with Tower Street a distance of approximately 45m The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th April 2021 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001041206 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

(Rectory Road, Copford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Copford in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 370m north of its junction with Boarded Bam Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th April 2021 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010609101 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary tor these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
