(Long Wyre Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Suspension of Prohibition of Entry) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close Long Wyre Street, in the town of Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from Culver Street, south to Priory Walk.
2. To temporarily suspend the Prohibition of Entry on Short Wyre Street at its junction with Queen Street.
The Essex County Council (Short Wyre Street, Colchester) (Prohibition of Entry) Order 2007 is hereby temporarily suspended.
The temporary restrictions are scheduled to commence on 24/11/2020 to 08/12/2020 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction of a new 3m deep sewer connection, relating to a section 50 licence (S50-1447) is undertaken.
The alternative route will be via St Nicholas Street, High Street, East Hill,East Street, Ipswich Road, St Andrews Avenue, Harwich Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24/11/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Spring Lane (Lexden Bridge), Colchester) (Temporary Suspension of 3 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: to temporarily suspend the existing 3 Tonne weight restriction on Spring Lane (Lexden Bridge) in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 160 metres from its junction with Spring lane Roundabout for a distance of 15 metres, the entirety of Lexden Bridge over the River Colne.
'The Essex County Council (Spring Lane, Colchester) (3 Tonne Weight Restrictions) Order 2008' is hereby temporarily suspended.
The temporary suspension is scheduled to commence 26/11/2020 to 10/12/2020 and 04/02/2021 to 06/02/2021 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while full reconstruction works of Bakers Lane are undertaken following collapse of concrete carriageway.
This Order will come into effect on 26/11/2020 and may continue in force for 18 months. A permanent order to revoke the 3 Tonne Weight Restriction on Spring Lane (Lexden Bridge) will be processed following the reconstruction of the bridge. This will follow its own consultation process in which comments will be invited from the public.
(Cowdray Avenue, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cowdray Avenue, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Cowdray Avenue to the other junction with Cowdray Avenue a distance of approximately 10m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th November 2020 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2300620 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while trial holes are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Cowdray Avenue and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 19th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Folley, Layer-de-la-Haye) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Folley, Layer-de-la-Haye in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with High Road for a distance of approximately 95m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th November 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC111WBKKT85V007 - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by BT. An alternative route is available via Abberton Road, Malting Green Road, High Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Great Bentley Road/School Lane/Station Road/Frating Road, Frating & Frating Road/Station Road, Thorrington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Great Bentley Road/School Lane/ Station Road/Frating Road, Frating & Frating Road/Station Road, Thorrington in the District of Tending, from the junction with Main Road to the junction with Clacton Road a distance of approximately 3365m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd December 2020 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2295921 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Main Road, Frating Hill, Clacton Road, Colchester Road, Clacton Road Westbound, Brightlingsea Road, Broad Lanes, St Osyth Road, Tenpenny Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hamilton Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hamilton Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Maldon Road to its junction with Butt Road a distance of approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd December 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2305922 County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Constantine Road, Butt Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Peartree Hill, Mount Bures) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Peartree Hill, Mount Bures in the Borough of Colchester, from both junctions with Colchester Road to both junctions with Bells Hill a distance of approximately 665m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th December 2020 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2304269 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Dowling Road, Takeleys, Fordham Road, Hall Road, Colchester Road and vice versa.

(Priory Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Priory Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 31 Om northeast then north of its junction with Braxted Park Road for a distance of approximately 85m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1 st December 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010533993 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Grange Road, Priory Road, Braxted Park Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Tye Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of The Tye Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Weeley Road to its junction with Wick Road a distance of approximately 1590m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th December 2020 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2306004 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via The Tye Road, Weeley Road, Plough Road, Aingers Green Road, Wick Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.9) Order 2020
Notice Is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the schedule.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 19th November 2020, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapel Lane, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Bromley Road for a distance of approximately 255m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th November 2020 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30066088730 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary tor these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Wivenhoe Road, Bromley Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 5th November 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
