(Footpath 19 and 20, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 19 and 20, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, Footpath 19: from its junction with Footpath 55 to its junction with Footpath 54. Footpath 20: from its junction with A1124 High Street/Church Hill to its junction with Footpath 19.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 24/10/2020 to 24/12/2020 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while re-surfacing decayed driveways on private lane are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Hillie Bunnies, Queens Road and A1124 High Street/ Church Hill, and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24/10/2020 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street Green, Sible Hedingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of High Street Green, Sible Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Carters Lane for a distance of approximately 215m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th November 2020 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2302547 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via High Street Green, Graves Hall Road, Crouch Green, Yeldham Road, Swan Street, Rectory Road, Prayors Hill and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 29th October 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Causeway, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of The Causeway, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from the junction with Bridge Street/High Street for a distance of approximately 100m in a southeasterly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the one way in that length of The Causeway, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Factory Lane (West) to its junction with Bridge Street/High Street as detailed in the "Essex County Council (The Causeway, Halstead) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1990".
The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 26th October 2020 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231004576 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree trimming works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Factory Lane West, Kings Road, Trinity Street, Bridge Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 16th October 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30 mph Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.31) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given
that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those various lengths of roads in the District of Braintree as detailed in the Schedule.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the various lengths of roads as specified in the schedule for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works are scheduled to commence after 16th October 2020, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while superfast installation cabling works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
The Order came into effect on 16th October 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by BT. An alternative route is available via Madgements Road, Lordsland Lane, Priors Green, Kerami Lane, Moat Road, Moat Farm Road, Plaistow Green, High Barn Hall Road, Rayne Hatch Lane, Boultwood Farm Road, Kentish Farm Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 16th October 2020 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
