Notice of Making of an Order Highways Act 1980 - Section 119 and 25 Public Path Diversion Orders 2019 Borough of Colchester Footpaths 10 Chappel, 10 Copford, 4,7 and 22 Little Horkesley and 29 Wormingford The above Orders made in September, 2019 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert a part length of the above Footpaths in the Borough of Colchester, as follows:

The above Orders made in September, 2019 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert a part length of the above Footpaths in the Borough of Colchester, as follows:

The entire length of Footpath 10 Chappel commencing from grid reference 58916,22744 where it connects to Swan Street and running in a west north westerly direction for a distance of 132 metres to grid reference 58904,22750 where it meets the drainage channel, then continuing across the field in a westerly direction for a distance of 312 metres to grid reference 58873,22753 where it connects to Oak Road, will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a west north westerly direction for a distance of 133 metres to the existing footbridge over the channel at grid reference 58903,22747 then continuing in a west north westerly for a further distance of 305 metres across the field to the same above point where it continues unaffected.

Apart length of Footpath 10 Copford commencing from a point west of St Michael & All Angels Church, at grid reference 59344,22268 and running in a generally north north westerly direction to the west of Copford Hall for a distance of 140 metres to grid reference 59339,22281, will be diverted to a new route starting from the same above point and running in a west south westerly direction on the north side of the cricket field for a distance of 117 metres to grid reference 59333,22264 where it connects to the highway at the T-junction between Church Road and Aldercar Road. In addition a new path will be created under Section 25 of the Highways Act, commencing at grid reference 59325,22278 where it connects to the highway known as Aldercar Road and running in an east north easterly direction through the wooded area for a distance of 145 metres to grid reference 59339,22281 where it connects to Footpath 10 Copford. The entire length of Footpath 4 Little Horkesley commencing from grid reference 59585,23290 where it connects to Footpath 3 Little Horkesley on the south side of the footbridge over the stream running in a south westerly direction across the field for a distance of 299 metres to grid reference 59560,23274 where it connects to the junction of Footpath 5 and Byway 29 Little Horkesley will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a westerly then a south westerly direction parallel with and alongside the south side of the stream for a distance of 278 metres to grid reference 59560,23279 where it connects to Byway 29 Little Horkesley A part length of Footpath 7 Little Horkesley commencing from grid reference 59564,23237 where it connects to School Lane and runs in west south westerly direction on the south side of the existing hedge for a total distance of 430 metres to grid reference 59523,23226 will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a west south westerly direction on the north side of the existing hedge for a distance of 430 metres to grid reference 59522,23227 then in a southerly direction for a further distance of 10 metres to the same above point where it continues unaffected. A part length of Footpath 22 Little Horkesley commencing from grid reference 59501,23200 and running in a westerly direction and then a west south westerly direction to the parish boundary for a distance of 220 metres then continuing as Footpath 29 Wormingford in a north westerly direction and then a generally northerly direction on the west side of the lake for a distance of 352 meters to grid reference 59469,23226 will be diverted to a new route commencing at the same above point and running in a north westerly direction along the field boundary then a north easterly direction and then a north westerly direction continuing to follow the field boundary for a distance of 373 metres to grid reference 59494,23231 then continuing into the parish of Wormingford and running in a west south westerly direction on the south side of the wood for a distance of 250 metres to the same above point where it continues unaffected

A copy of the Orders and Order Maps have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Chelmsford Borough Council, Civic Offices, Duke Street Chelmsford and at the Colchester Borough Council Offices, Town Hall, Colchester during normal working hours. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the Order. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 25m south of its junction with Clarkesmead for a distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction. (Dyers Road, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dyers Road, Stanway in the Borough of Colchester from a point approximately 175 metres from the junction with Warren Lane in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 335m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 01/10/19 to 21/12/19 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works to install new drainage in the carriageway relating to a section 50 licence is undertaken.

Diversion via: Blackberry Road, Warren Lane and vice versa. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure. The Order will come into effect on 01/10/19 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Head Street to its junction with Balkerne Gardens, a distance of approximately 70m.
