(Smythes Green, Layer Marney) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Smythes Green, Layer Marney in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 15m east of its junction with Maldon Road for a distance of approximately 40m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2019 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010524736 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new
connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Roundbush Road, Maldon Road,
Winters Hill and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Chitts Hill, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chitts Hill, Stanway in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately
80m south of its junction with Cooks Lane for a distance of approximately 425m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled
to commence on 22nd July 2019 for 43 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000830905 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may
vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed
on
. The closure is required for the safety of the
public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Chitts Hill, Spring Lane, Halstead
Road, Argents Lane, Halstead Road Roundabout and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 11th July 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Coast Road, West Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coast Road, West Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 55m south of its junction with Firs Chase for a distance of
approximately 20m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled
to commence on 7th August 2019 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CC1W0007AUGSHP898EA - BT). The scheduled
dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or
displayed on
. The closure is required for the
safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Coast Road, Firs Chase,
Firs Road, Rosebank Road, Victory Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2019 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Empress Avenue, West Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Empress
Avenue, West Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from a point
approximately 100m south of its junction with Empress Drive for a
distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction. The closure
is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2019 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034817100 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via East Road, Fairhaven Avenue, Victoria Esplanade and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Colchester Road, Great Bromley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester
Road, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from a point
approximately 350m east of its junction with Green Island for a
distance of approximately 60m in an easterly direction. The closure
is scheduled to commence on 20th July 2019 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT001021919 - Affinity Water). The
scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on
. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while new
connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Parsons Heath, Fox Street, John De Bois Hill, Colchester Road, Station Road, Frating Road, Slough Lane, Ardleigh Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
